Invader Is Here (the “site”) is a free, non-commercial community project that maps and catalogues Space Invader mosaics around London. It is run by an individual maintainer (“we”, “us”). By using the site or creating an account you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
Not affiliated with the artist
This is an unofficial fan project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the artist known as Invader or any official body. All mosaic artworks are the work of their respective artists.
Your account
- You’re responsible for activity under your account and for keeping it secure.
- You must be old enough to agree to these terms in your country (at least 13).
- Choose a handle that isn’t offensive or impersonating someone else.
Content you submit
By uploading photos or other content, you confirm that:
- The content is yours, or you have the right and permission to share it.
- You’re solely responsible for what you upload, including any location data attached to it.
- It doesn’t infringe anyone’s rights, break the law, or contain anything unlawful, hateful, abusive, or otherwise objectionable.
- Where a photo features other people or private property, you have permission to share it, or it doesn’t identify anyone without their consent.
You keep ownership of your content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and distribute it on the site so the project can run. You can remove your content (or ask us to) at any time.
Acceptable use
Don’t use the site to:
- Upload content you don’t have the rights to.
- Harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone.
- Post illegal, infringing, or knowingly inaccurate content.
- Upload photos that identify other people or private property without permission.
- Scrape, overload, disrupt, or attempt to break the site.
Reporting content & takedowns
We’re a small community project and don’t pre-screen everything that’s uploaded. If you see content that is unreasonable, infringes your rights, or shouldn’t be here, email hello@invader-is-here.xyz with a link and a short explanation and we’ll review it and remove it where appropriate. If it’s your copyrighted work, tell us and we’ll take it down on request.
Moderation
We may review, edit, refuse, or remove any content, and suspend or delete any account, at our discretion — for example if something is reported, looks inaccurate, or breaks these terms. We don’t have to give a reason or notice.
No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee that information (including artwork locations and statuses) is accurate, complete, or up to date, or that the site will be available or error-free. Use it at your own risk, and respect private property and your own safety when visiting locations.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or any content on it, including content uploaded by other users. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be excluded.
Your responsibility for your content
You agree to cover us for any claim, loss, or reasonable cost that arises from content you upload or from your breach of these terms — for example a claim that one of your photos infringes someone’s rights.
Changes
We may change the site or these terms at any time. We’ll update the date above when we do, and continued use means you accept the new terms.
General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the site, and replace any earlier understanding.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
